Fairvern Nursing Home gets the green light to expand
Fairvern Nursing Home has now received the much awaited approval of its new build project. Dr. Helen Jaczek, Minister of Health for the Province of Ontario, has announced that the application for the funding to redevelop 76 beds, together with 20 new beds, has been approved.
This is an exciting milestone for Fairvern, as it will now begin the process of finalizing the new location, architectural designs and target dates that will follow this announcement. There are still many agreements and details to be completed before the shovel hits the ground but, all in all, this is great news for Fairvern, Huntsville and the District of Muskoka.
Bike Rodeo in Huntsville

Many people in and around Muskoka grabbed a coffee at Tim Hortons today to help send kids to camp.
Local students participate in a mock vote
Schools across Muskoka participate in a mock vote this past week. More than 300,000 elementary and secondary students across the province took on the roles of election officials and cast ballots for the official candidates running in their electoral district through Student Vote Ontario. In total, more than 2,800 schools have registered to participate in the mock election, representing all 124 electoral districts. The project was made possibly by Elections Ontario.
