The Source stopped by the Thorold Stone Road McDonald's in Niagara Falls on Thursday, to check out their McHappy Day celebrations! 

Proceeds raised that day went to support Ronald McDonald House South Central Ontario, and the new Ronald McDonald Family Room at the St. Catharines Marotta Hospital.

A piece of Niagara Falls history saw a new chapter take place this week, with the Grand Opening of The Brock Niagara Falls - Fallsview, formerly The Crowne Plaza.

The Source joined Mayor Jim Diodati and Canadian Niagara Hotels for the ribbon cutting.

The Niagara Jazz Festival is back for their 12th Summer Music Festival, and The Source had the opportunity to stop by Tapps Brewhouse to hear this season's exciting lineup. 

For three weekends in June, the Niagara Region will be filled with the incredible sounds of jazz, world and soul music.

The longest, largest, and most complex battle of the Second World War, known as "The Battle of the Atlantic", lasted almost 9 years. The Welland Canal and the St. Lawrence Seaway have direct ties to the Battle and we have two guests who are joining Anthony in studio in recognition of Navy Week.  We welcome Daniel Rodrique, 2nd Vice President of the Royal Canadian Naval Association, Niagara Region, and Jim Doherty, Curator and General Manager of the Niagara Military Museum to The Source.

A two day event at Willowbank School of Restoration Arts honoured Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People. 

Gillian’s Place Officially Breaks Ground on the Marotta Family Centre for Violence Prevention & Outreach Support

On April 17th, Gillian’s Place announced the official groundbreaking of the Marotta Family Centre for Violence Prevention & Outreach Support. This milestone marks the final stage of the $10 million Build a Safer Future Capital Campaign, transforming a vision to better serve the community into a reality.

The 38th annual Pelham Art Festival will take place May 9th to 11th at the Meridian Community Centre in Fonthill. Cassandra Best joins Anthony Luongo in studio to talk about this great event.

Being a caregiver is one of the most important and often overlooked roles in someone’s health journey.  To support people doing this essential work, Hospice Niagara is offering free sessions to build your skills, confidence, and resilience in caregiving.  Joining Anthony Luongo in the studio is Executive Director, Carol Nagy, and Community Programs Coordinator, Alex Plato to talk about "Caring With Compassion".

The Niagara Children's Centre "Help Kids Shine" campaign is a fundraising and awareness campaign aimed at providing crucial support to children and their families with developmental and/or communicative delays.

The Source attended the official launch May 1st in St. Catharines to learn this year's campaign target, and how we can help support the Centre during the campaign that wraps up May 31st.
