Halton's Down Syndrome Walk
From purple pom pom's to bouncing castles, this weekend's Halton Down Syndrome Walk looked like a celebration--and it was. But beneath the fun was a powerful message: every person deserves to be included, supported and seen. The walk is one of the biggest fundraisers of the year for the HDSA. HDSB Vaping Information Sessions
A rising trend amongst high school students, and teens in general, is causing the Halton District School Board to approach the issue head-on. Statistics show that the number of students who vape increases from grade 8 through grade 12 and studies show multiple negative health implications from the habit. The school, partnering with the region's public health unit, have been hosting information sessions across Halton to help parents learn about all of it.
