Safe Haven
It's an epidemic in Halton region. Intimate partner violence was labeled by regional council as well as local councils in Milton, Halton Hills, Oakville, and Burlington last year. Recently, an event called "Safe Haven" was held to discuss the problem and hear from survivors/ It is by openly discussing this topic that Halton Women's Place hopes to be able to help people that are still suffering in silence. Jason Trout reports.
Wellspring Supports Children and Parents
The Wellspring Cancer Support Foundation offers a wide selection of programs and services free of charge to anyone with cancer. Nikki Wesley went to find out more about a program in Oakville that helps the whole family when there is a cancer diagnosis.

A new art exhibition in Halton Hills is helping to bring the works of a talented Canadian artist to a new generation. It's also bringing Florence Mcgillvray's story to a new audience. Including her connection to the group of seven. Researcher Bill Allen began digging into her story a few years ago because of a family ancestral connection, then, having shared a painting for a 2022 exhibition, found a connection that brought Mcgillivray's works to the Helson Gallery.
