All Ontario Farmers Bonspiel
Peter Cobb interviews Jerry Meyskens, the organizer of the 38th All Ontario Farmers Bonspiel, which took place at the Sydenham Community Curling Club in Wallaceburg. A total of 28 teams, hailing from both the local area and various parts of the province, participated in this year's event. Jerry Meyskens led his team to victory, defeating the Paul Dhaen team, also from Wallaceburg, in the championship match held on Sunday. Teams traveled from great distances to take part in this esteemed bonspiel, with the farthest team journeying from Espanola. All proceeds from the event support the Sydenham Community Curling Club, a non-profit organization that is run by volunteers and serves as a recreational and meeting space for its members.
Polar Plunge 2025
Bernice Leslie interviews Sgt. Jason Herder from the Chatham-Kent Police Services to talk about this year's Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Ontario that took place at Sons of Kent Brewing Company. Herder mentions that they had 150 plungers registered and raised $63,020 for Special Olympics Ontario and a percentage of the amount remains in Chatham-Kent.

Face Off For Mental Health
The Mental Health Table is excited to bring the Face Off for Mental Health program to Chatham-Kent, an initiative dedicated to creating safe spaces for young athletes both on and off the ice. To kickstart the program and get the conversation started, the Mental Health table has partnered with the Chatham Jr. Maroons to host a special hockey game on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at 7:00pm Peter Cobb speaks with Cathy Debresser Knowler about the game.

Holiday Jam for Hunger
Music lovers came out in a big way to help the Holiday Jam for Hunger mark a significant milestone. The 20th annual event, which took place at Sons of Kent Brewing Co. in Chatham, helped raise money for Hope House – Mental Health Network of Chatham-Kent and Chatham Outreach for Hunger. The jam has been held every year since 2004 – virtually during in 2020 and ’21 – and has been organized for the last 13 years by area musician Alysson Storey. “It feels pretty good. It’s kind of surprising. I never would’ve imagined (this) 20 years ago, when we just had some high school buddies jamming together in a barn out in Blenheim,” she said of the fundraiser’s longevity. “But I couldn’t be happier.
