An athletic competition with a positive message was held this weekend in Burlington. Craig McNicoll was there to capture the action.

The school year is winding down but in Oakville a new high school is going up! Nikki Wesley attended the Halton District School Board's ceremonial event last week to mark the occasion of the new secondary school's construction.

Both the Bayhawks Men and Women were in action on Sunday and desperate for points as they approach the mid point of the season. While the Women were up in Whitby the Men were out in St. Catherines. Let's have a look at the highlights.

As of today, the Immobilization Prohibition By-law will came into effect in Oakville. This means, the use of parking boots and similar devices, such as wheel locks, wheel clamps, or "barnacles," with the intent to keep unauthorized vehicles in place without the vehicle owner's consent will be prohibited in Oakville. We spoke with Oakville Mayor Rob Burton to get his reasoning for why this by-law seems necessary.

The streets were once again filled with music this past weekend, as the sound of music festival delighted the young and old alike with a variety of musical performances. Kimberly Calderbank and Steve Foxcroft helped to officially kick off Saturday morning with the annual parade that started it all.

This week the Cobourg Kodiaks hosted the Oakville Rock at the CCC. The Rock came away with a 8-5 victory. Here are all 13 goals from the game.
