Well luckily no one was injured when a fire broke out at a house in Gravenhurst yesterday afternoon, but unluckily those who were living in the home are now finding themselves without a roof over their heads.

Devastating fire leaves 5 families homeless and one death
A serious fire broke out at a home in Gravenhurst early this morning. Samantha Johnson was on the scene later on to find out what happened and what the next steps are. YourTV has heard from the OPP that this is being treated as a death investigation after human remains were discovered inside the home. According to police one family member is missing from the group that were inside the home at the time when the fire broke out. The name of the victim is being withheld for now, but more details will be provided soon.
Heritage Committee ask Province to recognize the heritage significance of the Ontario Fire College
As Ontario's Fire College now stands empty after it was shut down earlier this year, Gravenhurst Municipal Heritage Committee ask council that a letter be submitted to the Province in trying to preserve its history.
