The Table Soup Kitchen Foundation is looking to raise $275,000 by the end of December in order to keep the Men's Shelter open. There are different ways to donate. For more information you can go to The Table's website or call Heather Berg at 705-783-5827. 

The Rotary Club of Huntsville in partnership with YourTV hosted the annual Rotary TV Auction on Nov. 19. This year they raised over $30,000. 

Gravenhurst Fire Department kicked off their 2nd Annual Toy Drive at Canadian Tire over the weekend.

There are a lot of activities happening this weekend in Gravenhurst including the Santa Claus Parade on Nov 25th. 

The authors of "Age Your Age?" are residents of Castle Peak Retirement Residence Inc. On Nov. 15, they presented a donation to three local charities. Children's Foundation of Muskoka, Out of the Cold and South Muskoka Hospital Foundation each received $1,000. With the sales of the book, the authors were able to raise $15,000 total for local charities.

Health professionals are predicting a bad flu season and are encouraging residents to get the flu shot. We went to Muskoka Pharmacy to talk about the importance of the flu shot. Melissa Candelaria took the opportunity to get one herself.

Muskoka Pride Committee hosted their 5th annual Conference, at the Residence Inn by Marriott in Gravenhurst. Sessions include: Queer Community & Intersectionality, LGBTQ Terminology, Community Supports (PFLAG, Gilbert Centre), and a Community Panel.

The Muskoka Pride Community is a volunteer group that formed in 2009, whose purpose is to increase awareness of the LGBT community of Muskoka and to create opportunities for inclusivity within Muskoka that overcome heterosexism and homo/bi/trans-phobia, providing a safe community for LGBT people.
