MP Cheryl Gallant held a Town Hall meeting at the Cobden Agricultural Hall to discuss the changes coming to gun laws with Bill C-71. 

The Town of Arnprior held a public meeting to discuss a change in by-law for The Groves Nursing Home Expansion. One Arnprior Resident spoke of his concerns in regards to the Gillies Grove Ecosystem.

The Town of Renfrew made the decision to sell the Historic Downtown Post Office building to Rob Thompson Hotels LTD. The appraised value of the building was $635,000 dollars but it was in need of major renovations to meet provincial legislation, the price tag on the repairs was in the neighbourhood of $1.2 million dollars.

In the end the Town decided to sell the building at the cost of $100,000. The purchaser is expected to bring the building up to code and add in a new elevator lift and create a small Boutique Hotel in the Downtown.

Dan Dubeau has been a musician for over 40 years and has turned his passion for music in to teaching. Sharing his knowledge with other musicians is something he loves to do.

With Downtown Construction set to begin in April, The Town of Renfrew has come to agreements with a couple of organizations to add parking during the construction period.
