Community Event - Peterborough/Lindsay - Bobcayggeon Garden Tour & Tea

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

Join the Bobcaygeon Horticulture Society for its heritage garden tour.  The gardens of six century homes and farms will be open for the tour.  Continuing our theme is an exhibit at the Boyd Museum of 19th century gardening.  Within the stone-wall enclosed grounds of the museum, enjoy a Kawartha Dairy ice cream while shopping for heritage herbs and seeds.  Displays of basket weaving and beekeeping reflect the ingenuity of times past.  To complete your day, be sure to visit Kawartha Settlers' Village, our wonderful 19th century reconstruction, for a tour of several pioneer gardens as well as a traditional dessert-tea served on the veranda of Henderson House

Tickets:  $15.00;  kids under 16, free

Tickets available at the Bobcaygeon Chamber of Commerce and other vendors in Bobcaygeon.  On tour day, tickets available at each garden, at the Museum and at Kawartha Settlers' Village
