"It began as a house warming concert in 2008. We sent invitations to friends, family, and fans - more than a hundred wonderful souls showed up that day coming from Florida, Tennessee, Massachusetts, Manitoba and Ontario… and they loved it! We had no thought of making this an annual event but it took on a life of its own and here we are in 2018 celebrating our 10th anniversary!"
-----------------
This annual event is a gathering of like-minded peace-loving individuals who care deeply about the environment. They come from far and wide to experience a musically eclectic mix of multi award winning world class artists who perform on our outdoor stage. The atmosphere is so magical that you can hear a pin drop on the grass. The suggested minimum donation includes a dinner break complete with homemade entrees. Salads and desserts are traditionally (and lovingly) contributed by our ‘guests’ and soft beverages are provided. People are welcome to bring their own beer/wine.
This year’s exceptional lineup:
LEE OSKAR (US) (War, Low Rider Band) heads the bill. Lee is a world-renowned harmonica virtuoso, producer, visual artist, musical explorer and harmonica manufacturer.
SO LONG SEVEN (CA) is a fusion band that draws on folk, chamber music and jazz with a middle eastern flavour.
NORAH DOOLEY (US) is a storyteller, critically acclaimed children’s author, and educator who performs in schools, libraries, festivals and conferences.
JORDAN JOHN (CA) excels on drums, keyboard, guitar and then he sings… with a voice that was made for R&B and beyond. His bass player is none other than the legendary Prakash John who has worked with James Brown, George Clinton, Paul Shaffer, Alice Cooper, The Blues Brothers, Pinetop Perkins, Junior Wells and Mike Bloomfield.
MICHAEL PICKETT (CA) is a multiple award winning Canadian blues and roots singer songwriter, guitarist and harmonica player who has shared the stage with John Lee Hooker, Bo Diddley, Koko Taylor, John Hammond, Sunnyland Slim and many more.
MIKE BRANTON BAND (CA) closes out the evening with his authentic and spellbinding journey into the blues.
