Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

Tuesday, January 15, 2019 - HCHS presents Gary Foster, owner of Campbell Monuments, speaking on the History of Tomstones and What We Can Learn From Them.  Town by town, concession by concession, the graveyards of our region provide us with greater knowledge than we would expect:  economic ebbs and flows, changing sociodultural values, creation of our transportation system, medical history, international trade and immigration patterns.  All this from our local cemetery!  This ffree public presentation takes place at Maranatha, 100 College St. West, Belleville.  (Ample parking and level access at the rear of the building.)  Bring a friend and enjoy refreshments, conversation and displays following the presentation.  For more info go to www.hastingshistory.ca
