Many Choices for Interesting, Self-Planned Tours Await Visitors
Northumberland County Open Studio Weekend is a celebration of the visual arts and creative process, offering a unique opportunity for visitors to meet a wide variety of artists and craftspeople in their studios, some of which are only open to the public during this event.
The allure of the Studio tour is that "it takes you through the real Northumberland County in a safe and interesting way. The road may go on and on but with the Northumberland Studio map in our brochure, we will guide visitors to every studio."
The Northumberland Studio Tour publishes a free map booklet with directions to participating sites. Participating artists also put up directional signs to guide visitors to their door. The Studio Guide is available throughout the Port Hope, Cobourg area and at Tourist Information Centers and studios.
