Community Event - Chatham - Countryside Knitting Club Monthly Meetings

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

The Countryside Knitting Club will be meeting monthly at the Chatham Branch of CKPL and new members are always welcome!

All meetings take place on the third Wednesday of each month from 1:30 to 3:30 pm. Participants are encouraged to bring their own knitting needles and yarn.

Upcoming meetings at Chatham Branch (120 Queen St, Chatham) will be: March 20, April 17, and May 15.

During meetings new techniques are demonstrated, members bring in items for ‘show and tell’, items are collected for charity, and members work to solve each other’s knitting issues.

The Countryside Knitting Club, which started in the 1980s, includes machine and hand knitters. In addition to personal projects, members of the club have knitted various items including hats, scarves, mittens, baby blankets, baby outfits, baby hats and comfort balls for local charities.
