Integration Action for Inclusion (IAI) has teamed up with Windsor-Essex Family Network, other IAI member organizations, and the Fialka-Feldman family from Michigan to bring the documentary film Intelligent Lives to Windsor-Essex.
Intelligent Lives stars three pioneering young American adults with intellectual disabilities – Micah, Naieer, and Naomie – who challenge perceptions of intelligence as they navigate high school, college, and the workforce. Academy Award-winning actor and narrator Chris Cooper contextualizes the lives of these central characters through the emotional personal story of his son Jesse, as the film unpacks the shameful and ongoing track record of intelligence testing in the U.S.
Join us on Friday, April 26 for a FREE screening of Intelligent Lives at Olde Walkerville Theatre.
Doors Open 5:30pm | Screening Starts 6:30pm at 1564 Wyandotte Street, E.
Janice Fialka and Richard Feldman, parents of Micah Fialka-Feldman, one of the stars in the film, will be hosting a conversation and taking questions from the audience after the film.
