Public Announcement - Kingston - Speaking of Autism: Celebrating Autism Awareness

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

Two fascinating Kingstonians share their experiences of being on the autism spectrum.  Jay Serdula — a well-known swimmer and autism advocate — will tell how his Asperger's helped rather than hindered him when he swam across Lake Ontario.  And Lorna-Jean Astle, who found out about her autism at age 50, will talk about how girls and boys with autism behave and cope differently.

Come learn about the unique strengths and challenges that autism brings.  Thursday, October 19, Isabel Turner Branch, 7 p.m.  All are welcome to attend this free talk.  No registration required.
