The world's deadliest influenza pandemic, known as the Spanish Flue, swept across Canada and the World between 1918-1919. With no effective vaccine or treatment, the virus infected Canadians at an alarming rate, resulting in approximately 55,000 deaths. Discover how the Spanish Flue pandemic profoundly impacted the history of Canada in this new travelling exhibit from Ingenium. Local artifacts, newspaper reports and photographs will show how Belleville and the Quinte Region were impacted. Glanmore National Historic Site is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 4:30 pm in August and Tuesday to Sunday from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm in September.
