RENFREW OPP INVESTIGATING A ROBBERY

(RENFREW, ON) - Members of the Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Renfrew Crime Unit are currently investigating an armed robbery.

On March 4, 2021 at approximately 12:50 a.m., officers responded to a 911 call from a residence in Arnprior. As a result of an investigation, it was determined that a robbery had occurred on March 3, 2021 at 11:30 p.m. on Russell Street in Arnprior.  A masked male exited the passenger side door of a vehicle brandishing a suspected firearm. The suspect demanded the victim's wallet and fled the scene in a gray/blue Hyundai hatchback with pink duct tape on the front bumper. The driver of the suspect vehicle is also unknown at this time. The victim was not injured in the incident.

The suspect is described as a caucasian male between the ages of 20 and 30 with dark hair and is believed to be under 5'10" wearing a black bandana style face covering.
