UOV OPP seeking witnesses after driver struck 13 yr old cyclist

The Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating a fail to remain motor vehicle collision that occurred at the intersection of MacKay Street and Pembroke Street East in the City of Pembroke. 

The collision took place at approximately 4:45 p.m. on Monday May 24, 2021. 
A brown coloured car, possibly a Chevrolet Cavalier, was turning southbound onto MacKay Street from Pembroke Street East when it struck a cyclist crossing the street in the crosswalk. 
The driver, who is described as an older male, failed to stop and did not render assistance to the 13 year old cyclist who sustained serious injuries. 
Police are seeking assistance from the public to identify the vehicle and driver. 

The OPP is seeking witnesses and is asking anyone in the area with residential or commercial surveillance or in-car video from this May 24 incident to contact police.
