Italian Remembrance, Recognition and Renewal
The Davedi Club of North Bay is reaching out to our community who may be interested in the history related to Italian Canadian internees in WW2 from Northern Ontario or interested in the history of this injustice.
We would like to invite you to a series of events at the Davedi Club about the internment of Italian Canadians from Northern Ontario, the effect on families, the Canadian Government apology in 2021, and the renewal of Italian spirit and contributions.
We hope you consider attending one or all the events to recognize this history so this kind of discrimination can never happen again. Please forward our invitation to our community, members and friends who might be interested.

• Documentary “Barbed Wire and Mandolins” June 5th, 7 p.m. Free
• Static Display June 5th -10th , 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Free
• Dedication of Memorial Stone at the Waterfront June 11th 4 p.m. Free
• Formal Dinner at the Davedi Club, June 11th, Cocktails 5:30, Dinner 6:30 p.m. Tickets $20
• Renewal Celebration: Soccer Tournament, Sunday June 12th, Veterans Field at Judge Ave. Open youth game at 11 a.m. to noon, competitive game 12:30 to 2 p.m.
