Public Notices/Announcements - Niagara - "Connecting Rods" opening July 22 in St.Catharines

Mark your calendars for Julianna D'Intino's "Connecting Rods", on display at 146 James Street from July 22–24.

The artist, Julianna D’Intino, has been documenting the slow demolition of 285 Ontario Street since 2015. The former factory was a driving force of the Niagara economy for over 100 years. It now sits a shell – stuck in limbo between its past and its future.

Through images, archival materials, interviews, and reflections, the artist explores the history of and familial connections to the location, and how the changing uses of the site have reverberated in the community.
