BMS2000 - RESEARCHING YOUR FRENCH-CANADIAN ANCESTORS

 

BMS2000 is a cooperative project by 24 Quebec genealogy societies to establish a common database containing 16.6 million birth, marriage & burial records.  This database is now available on a dedicated computer in our library.  Our presenter, Pam Tessier, will be giving us instructions and tips on how to use and get great results from this website to help you find your Quebec ancestors.

   Location:  North Bay Public Library, Nipissing Branch Library, Lower Level

 

This beginner’s course, being taught by an experienced researcher, will introduce you to the ins and outs of basic French-Canadian research using library resources and online databases.  Space is limited to six people on a first-come basis.  Register by Thursday, March 23rd.  Fee will be $8.00 for non-members or $5.00 for Nipissing Branch members.  Registration can be by cash, cheque or e-transfer.  Please contact Pam Tessier at pltessier@gmail.com to register.
