The Town of Cobourg would like to inform all residents and guests that the Cobourg Sandcastle Festival will be moved to Sunday August 13, 2023.
Due to the high risk of thunderstorms on Saturday August 12.
Master Sculptures at Work:
The Master Sand Sculptors will build their sculptures as planned on Friday August 11 and Saturday August 12. If weather permits, people are welcome to walk the beach to observe these artists at work. Sculptures will be protected by tents to ensure they can be enjoyed for the festival on Sunday
Shuttle Service:
Free shuttles will be running on Sunday from 9am-6pm from the Northumberland Mall and Cobourg Community Centre to the Cobourg Beach.
Movies in the Park:
The movies in the park will also be moved to Sunday evening due to the inclement weather, Bring your snacks, beach chairs, blankets and bug spray and enjoy watching "The Sandlot" on the inflatable big screen in Victoria Park right by the bandshell. The movie will begin at sundown, approximately 8:30pm.
