Northumberland Ribfest and Music Festival Returns Aug.18-20

The Rotary Club of Cobourg is bringing the sauce and smoke to Victoria Park with the Northumberland Ribfest & Music Festival this weekend.

Entry to the 15th annual festival is free with a variety of food trucks to purchase from on-site. The event takes place on Friday, August 18 (12 noon to 10 p.m.), Saturday, August 19 (12 noon to 10 p.m.), and Sunday, August 20, 2023 (12 noon to 5 p.m.).

Some of the amazing food vendors include:
• Bibbs Texas BBQ
• Billy Bones Barbeque
• Boss Hogg’s BBQ
• Silver Bullet BBQ
• Uncle Sam’s BBQ Stand


In addition to the rib truck lineup the festival will host Fabulitious Funnel Cakes, KiltiesMini Donuts, Ontario Corn Roasters, and Snowie Canada Summertime Lemonade and Dila Enterprises. There is also a refreshment tent in front of the bandshell, open until 10p.m. Friday and Saturday and until 5 p.m. on Sunday.


A judging competition will take place over the weekend with the 2023 winners announced Sunday, August 20 at 4 p.m. Throughout the weekend there will be judging
panels along with the People’s Choice Award for Top Ribber. Visit the Rotary Club of Cobourg volunteer tent for your chance to vote in the People’s Choice category.


This family-friendly festival sees more visitors each year and is a fundraiser to help the Rotary Club of Cobourg support worthy causes at home and abroad. Contributions through the years have supported the Northumberland Hills Hospital ($800,000), the Cobourg Community Centre ($300,000), ongoing development of Cobourg Heritage Harbour, literacy projects at home and abroad, clean water projects, efforts towards Polio eradication.


The Northumberland Ribfest & Music Festival is a 100% volunteer-run event, and they are looking for volunteers to help. If you are interested in getting involved, visit
