Theft of Property
On August 31, 2023, a fisherman reported his backpack had been stolen while fishing along the Ganaraska River on Mill Street. Police watched video from a local business and observed the suspects described to them from the victim. Shortly after, officers observed the same parties on foot. As a result, a 55-year-old local male, and a 30-year-old female from Bewdley were arrested for the theft.
The male also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for the same charges.
The male party was charged with:
- Theft Under $5,000
- Adult Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
- Adult Possession of a Credit Card
- Adult Fail to Comply with a Probation Order
- Adult Use of Credit Card x6
The accused male was held in custody.
The female party was charged with:
- Adult Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
- Adult Possession of a Credit Card
- Adult Use of Credit Card x6
The accused female was released on an Officer in Charge Undertaking.
