A 41-year-old Cobourg man is facing theft charges in an investigation into theft from a home.
On September 4, 2023, police received a report of theft of jewellery from a residence in the Town of Cobourg that was believed to have occurred in early August 2023.
Police investigation revealed a family member of the complainant had taken jewelry from the home and sold the items.
As a result, a 41-year-old Cobourg man was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
The accused was released on an undertaking with a future court date.
