Thorold, ON – The City of Thorold is recruiting committee and board members for the current
Council term.
Recruitment is taking place for the following:
Committees
Age Friendly Committee – 3 vacancies for at-large member
Committee of Adjustment – 1 vacancy for at-large member
Community Events Advisory Committee – 1 vacancy for at-large member
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Advisory Committee – 1 vacancy for at-large member
Environment Climate Change and Biodiversity Advisory Committee – 1 vacancy for at-large
member
Heritage Advisory Committee – 3 vacancies for at-large members
Parks, Trails and Recreation Committee – 2 vacancies for at-large members
Tourism Advisory Committee – 1 vacancy for at-large member
Town and Gown Committee – 1 vacancy for landlord member
Boards
Allanburg Community Centre Board of Management – 2 vacancies for at-large members
Darlene Ryan Port Robinson Community Centre Board of Management – 3 vacancies for at-
large members
Applicants for appointment must be at least 18 years of age and either a land owner/tenant in the city
of Thorold or a business owner in the city of Thorold.
Eligible individuals are encouraged to submit an electronic application on the City’s website or pick up
and submit a hard copy application at City Hall reception by September 27.
Applications will be reviewed by City Council on October 3. Successful candidates will be contacted
thereafter by the City Clerk.
