YourTV, your local connection to community-driven content, is pleased to announce that David Goyette
will host Queen’s Park Report beginning September 22, 2023.
This captivating half-hour question and answer show featuring Peterborough-Kawartha MPP Dave Smith
premiers twice a month on Fridays at 5 PM. It provides the MPP with an opportunity to inform the
community and is an essential means of improving community accountability of the MPP.
The program has been ably hosted for many years by Ken Tremblay, who we thank for his service in
support of our community and our mission.
David Goyette’s arrival marks an exciting new chapter for this beloved program. David brings a wealth of
experience and a deep commitment to community service to his new role. He served as the Executive
Assistant to the Mayor of Peterborough, the Senior Advisor to the President of Trent University, the City
Hall columnist for the Peterborough Examiner, and the Campaign Chair for the United Way. With a
dedication to philanthropy, David has volunteered his leadership skills to 17 non-profit organizations.
He is the former Chair of Showplace Performance Centre, where the David Goyette Green Room and the
David Goyette Stage are named after him, as is the David Goyette Wellness Room at the Camp Kawartha
Health Centre.
On four occasions, David has been recognized by the media as one of Peterborough’s most influential
persons. In 2020, he was a finalist for a Peterborough Arts Award. In 2021, he was inducted into the
Peterborough and District Pathway of Fame. In 2023, he received the Paul Harris Award for community
service from Rotary International, and he was chosen as the Gold Winner for favourite local artist in the
Peterborough Examiner Readers’ Choice Awards.
