Last week was a busy one at United Way, and we wanted to share some of the highlights. We started the week by launching "Community Matters," a county-wide engagement project designed to connect with and empower individuals and families throughout Northumberland County. Our team traveled all around the county, talking to community members about their experiences and thoughts on our community's needs.
At our CommUNITY BBQ, we officially launched our 2023 Campaign with a goal to raise $910,000 to support Northumberland County. Here's some more exciting news: thanks to a generous anonymous donor, we're starting our 2023 campaign with a $50,000 Matching Gift opportunity. This means that new donations to United Way will be 100% matched, and any donors who increase their donation by 10% or more will also be matched, doubling the love and doubling the impact.
With all this good news and Thanksgiving just around the corner, we're feeling especially grateful for our community. Thank you for supporting United Way and helping us make a difference locally.
