Northumberland County’s Director of Finance/Treasurer Matthew Nitsch provided Council members with an update on the County’s current year-to-date financial results.
The update included an overview of the County’s financials compared to the allocated 2023 Budget.
During the budget planning process, finances are often allocated on a month-by-month basis.
Financial updates to council include reflections on timing of events and unexpected changes throughout the year that have impacted actual expenditures.
Nitsch confirmed that the 2023 Budget remains in good standing, with a total favourable variance of $1.2M.
