Cobourg Police Service (CPS) encourages residents to make crime prevention part of their daily routine to help protect their property from theft.
In the most recent bi-weekly report, CPS noted fifteen reported property thefts from yards between October 9 and October 22, 2023. Property crimes are often crimes of opportunity. Important details like removing valuables from your car, locking car doors, securing sheds, and turning on lights can help deter these crimes.
CPC wants to remind residents that completing simple crime prevention steps can help protect their property from theft.
