Cobourg Police Dynamic Patrol Initiative results for October 23-29

The most recent Dynamic Patrol Initiative in the east-end residential neighbourhoods began on October 18, 2023.

In the second week of the initiative, October 23 to October 29, police conducted the following:

• 51 proactive community patrols, including but not limited to Thomas Street, Meredith Avenue, Jane Street, Cottesmore Avenue, Major Street, King Street, and Brook Road South
• One response to a medical call
• Recovered property – Bicycles, tools, and other items.

CPS continues to work with partners and community agencies to support all residents. The Homelessness Addiction Response Program team (HARP) and Mental Health Engagement and Response Team (M-HEART) continues to connect with residents and conduct daily patrols throughout the Town of Cobourg.

Dynamic Patrol is an ongoing initiative intended to enhance police service delivery through proactive patrols, increasing visibility, and community engagement efforts in the Town of Cobourg. Deployment of officers will take place as necessary in various areas of the community.

Report Crime and Suspicious Activity
We encourage community members to report suspicious activity and crime, whether big or small. Reports help us identify crime patterns and trends to serve our community better. Reports reviewed and assigned for follow-up.
