On Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at approximately 12:45 p.m., police conducting a theft investigation at a business in the area of Spring Street and King Street in Cobourg engaged with an individual who began causing a disturbance by swearing, yelling, and threatening police.
As a result, a 39-year-old Cobourg man was arrested and charged with causing a disturbance, two counts of uttering threats and obstructing a Peace Officer.
The accused was released on an undertaking with a future court date.
