ONE PERSON DECEASED IN SNOWMOBILE COLLISION NEAR RENFREW

The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) continues to investigate a fatal snowmobile collision on an OFSC trail in the Township of McNab-Braeside.

 

On February 17, 2024, at approximately 4:00 p.m., OPP officers and Renfrew County EMS responded to the scene.

 

The 29 year-old driver was pronounced deceased at the scene, while Air ORNG transported the 33 year-old passenger to hospital with serious injuries.

 

The Renfrew OPP continues to investigate, with the assistance of OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) and a Collision Reconstructionist.  

 

The OFSC trail remains closed.
