On March 8, 2024, at approximately 12:05 a.m., police responded to an activated alarm at a business in the area of Division Street and Ewert Street.
Upon arrival, police observed a damaged door window near a loading dock entrance and located an individual on business property. The Durham Regional Police Canine Unit attended and cleared the building. No other people were found on the property or in the building.
As a result of the police investigation, a 34-year-old Cobourg man was arrested and charged with break and enter.
The accused was held for a bail hearing later today.
