It's an epidemic in Halton region. Intimate partner violence was labeled by regional council as well as local councils in Milton, Halton Hills, Oakville, and Burlington last year. Recently, an event called "Safe Haven" was held to discuss the problem and hear from survivors/ It is by openly discussing this topic that Halton Women's Place hopes to be able to help people that are still suffering in silence.
