Niagara Falls, ON – On the evening of Monday, June 10, 2024, Niagara Parks and the OPSEU Parks Employees Local 217 union reached a tentative agreement, avoiding a potential labour disruption.
The tentative agreement is subject to ratification by the union and the Niagara Parks Commission. Niagara Parks operations will continue as normal without interruption.
The OPSEU Parks Employees Local 217 union comprises a majority of Niagara Parks employees across a multitude of sectors. Niagara Parks and OPSEU 217 have been engaged in labour negotiations since February 2024 with both sides respecting the collective bargaining process.
