The NOTL Museum is pleased to be a participant in Ontario Power Generation’s Power for Change
Project, and the recipient of an OPG Regional Empowerment Grant of $5000, which will significantly
assist the NOTL Museum’s Tiny Museum community outreach programs.
“We have many wonderful community events during the summer months,” said NOTL Museum
Managing Director, Sarah Kaufman. “This funding helps the Tiny Museum to be a part of them, and to
truly take our museum, and history, ‘out of the box’.”
The OPG Power for Change Project was designed to give back to Ontario and to the communities where
OPG operates.
“We believe there is power in community,” said Nicole Fabbro, OPG Vice President, Niagara Operations.
“We hope this project will empower not-for-profit organizations to do what they do best – make a
difference.”
The NOTL Tiny Museum was created as a pint-sized version of the actual Museum itself, based on an
original ‘Tiny House’ design. It is used primarily to curate portable exhibits from the NOTL Museum’s
vast collection, for educational and outreach projects throughout the Niagara region. The exhibits and
artifacts are presented in enclosed but easily viewable display cases and drawers, with a children’s
activity tent area is set up beside the structure. Its appealing façade is a popular visitor attraction,
especially for families, and a unique calling card for the NOTL Museum.

The Tiny Museum can be visited at the upcoming Pumphouse Arts Weekend, the NOTL Peach Festival,
and the NOTL Museum’s Past is Present Festival.
