A 33-year-old Cobourg woman is facing charges after police investigate allegations of assault.
On Tuesday, July 23, 2024, a woman attended the Cobourg Police station to report that she had been assaulted by a family member. Through investigation, police learned that on the evening of July 17, the family member attended the woman’s residence and assaulted her after a brief verbal interaction.
As a result of the police investigation, a 33-year-old Cobourg woman was arrested and charged with assault and fail to comply with probation.
The accused was released on an undertaking with a future court date.
