CONVENIENCE STORE ROBBERY IN PEMBROKE UNDER INVESTIGATION

The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating a robbery at a convenience store in the City of Pembroke. 

 

On August 8, 2024, at approximately 3:40 a.m., police responded to a robbery at a convenience store in the 300 block of Pembroke Street East.  An unknown individual entered the store, brandished an edged weapon, and demanded cash from an employee. The employee was not injured, and the person fled the scene with a quantity of cash and lottery tickets.

 

The person of interest is described as:

  • White male with a thin build

·        approximately 168 cm (5'6")

·        a black ski mask was covering their face 

 

The UOV OPP Crime Unit is continuing the investigation with the assistance of OPP's Forensic Identification Services (FIS) unit and OPP's Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU). Police are interested in speaking with anyone in the Peter Street and Pembroke Street East area that may have security and/or doorbell camera footage from August 8, 2024, between the hours of 3:00 to 4:00 a.m.
