The Town of Cobourg is excited to announce the launch of a new app, for the Town’s On-Demand Transit Service, now available for download.
The new app provides easy online booking and real-time ride tracking. To get started, download the Cobourg Transit app from the following links:
- Android: Download from Google Play
- Apple: Download from the App Store
- Desktop: Book online
Only bookings for September 1, 2024, and beyond can be booked with the new app. On-Demand bookings may be made same-day, or up to seven days in advance.
Existing users of the ‘Pick-Up On-Demand’ App will receive a notification in the app about this change. There is no need for existing users to create a new account — simply download the new app and log in with your current credentials.
On-Demand Service Details
The On-Demand Transit system features 184 stops across Cobourg and operates with the following hours:
- Monday to Friday: 6:15 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Saturday: 8:15 a.m. to 6:45 p.m.
- Sunday: 8:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
Introducing Limited Fixed Route Transit
In addition to the On-Demand service, Cobourg Transit will introduce a Limited Fixed Route pilot program starting September 3, 2024. This new service will offer 35 strategically located stops and operate on an hourly schedule between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday to Friday.
