Niagara, September 19, 2024 – On Monday, September 23, NEXTNiagara will hold its annual ENGAGE conference in partnership with the Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce (GNCC).
ENGAGE is a groundbreaking event aimed at fostering a dynamic conversation between young professionals and community leaders to identify what a livable community looks like in Niagara, through the lens of inclusion and sustainability, to address the evolving needs of the community.
The event's main focus will be to enable open, honest, and productive discussions between young professionals and community leaders. This will be facilitated through interactive roundtables, speakers, and networking opportunities, creating an environment where ideas can flow freely, and innovative solutions can be developed.
Keynotes will be delivered by Drew Toth, the founder/president of Elevate Living Inc, a Niagara-based developer and home builder inspired by New Urbanism, and by Reza Pourvaziry, Chair of the Urban Economy Forum and Founder of the World Urban Pavilion.
“Niagara’s future depends on attracting and retaining young people who will live, work, and raise families here,” said NEXTNiagara Chair Kristen Nilsen. “Livable communities in our region will set us apart and make Niagara truly the best place to live, work, and play. The dialogues at the ENGAGE hackathon will help make that a reality and help policymakers find ways to build communities that young people want to love in.”
The ENGAGE hackathon is powered by Canadian Tire Bank and Niagara Region Economic Development, in partnership with Fallsview Casino Resort, Casino Niagara, and the Niagara Association of Realtors.
The event takes place on September 23 at Lookout Point Country Club between 1:30pm and 7:00pm. Attendance is free to all. Further information can be found at https://tinyurl.com/ycyv4zzm.
