Pelham, ON - The Town of Pelham has won a Gold Level MarCom award for the 2024 international creative competition for marketing and communication professionals.
Pelham achieved the award for the Town of Pelham 72-Hour Emergency Preparedness Guide in the informational brochure category. During Emergency Preparedness Week in May, the guide was designed, printed and delivered to Pelham residents through the financial support from the provincial Community Emergency Preparedness Grant. The guide contained information on risks in Pelham, making a family emergency plan, building a 72-hour emergency kit, ways to stay connected during emergencies, and additional tips for smartphone users. It also contained a resource section so residents could have a central location to keep important emergency numbers.
The Emergency Preparedness Guide was among over 6,500 entries received by MarCom from Canada, the United States, and 52 other countries. The Gold Award was presented to entries judged to exceed the high standards of the industry norm.
“The Town is committed to ensuring residents have information readily available to assist them in being prepared,” said Chief Administrative Officer David Cribbs. “Through the Gold-winning 72-Hour Emergency Preparedness Guide, community members have clear and easy-to-follow tips and checklists to ensure they are ready to take the necessary steps to be prepared when the unexpected happens.”
