
(RENFREW, ON) - The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one driver after an early morning collision on Highway 17.
On Wednesday, November 6, 2024, shortly before 7:00 a.m., Renfrew OPP received multiple reports of a multi-vehicle collision, west of Chenaux Road.
Police arrived on scene to find two cars, one school bus and a transport truck blocking Highway 17.
There were no kids on the school bus at the time of the collision.
Four people were transported to hospital by the County of Renfrew Paramedic Service.
Two people were treated for minor injuries, and two are receiving ongoing care at the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
One driver has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with unsafe move-lane or shoulder.
The investigation is ongoing.
