Nov. 14, 2024 - November marks the anticipation of the delicious holiday treat that gives back to the community. Tim Horton’s Holiday Smile cookies are back from November 18 to 24. For the second year in a row, the community recipient of the proceeds from eight Tim Hortons restaurants in Welland is FACS Niagara Foundation.
“We’re pleased to be a part of the Holiday Smile Cookie campaign as every cookie sold helps support children, youth and families in Niagara,” says Anna Bozza, executive director of Family and Children’s Services (FACS) Niagara. “The holiday season reminds us of the power of hope and the importance of community. Thanks to community and donor support, we are able to provide hope to children and youth in care through our programs and services.”
Proceeds from the Holiday Smile Cookies will help fund a “Home for Brighter Tomorrows”, the renovation of a residential treatment home in Welland for children in foster care aged 9-14 with complex needs. Due to their additional needs, a number of children supported by FACS cannot reside with a foster family. Redeveloping this space will provide them with a loving home in Niagara where they can get the care and support they need to grow and develop into successful adults.
Developing this program requires $450,000 in community support. It is thanks to amazing community partners, like Tim Hortons, that FACS is able to work towards achieving their fundraising goals. You can read more about the Home for Brighter Tomorrows campaign here.
The Tim Hortons Holiday Smile Cookie is a delicious white chocolate chip sugar cookie that is infused with green and red sprinkles and topped with a hand-decorated smile.
