63-year-old Colborne man charged with impaired after police conducted traffic stop on Thursday night

On Thursday, November 28, 2024, at approximately 7:40 p.m., police observed a vehicle being driven suspiciously downtown Cobourg.
 

Police conducted a traffic stop on Queen Street for the purpose of checking the driver’s sobriety. The driver failed an Approved Screening Device and was placed under arrest. 

The male was transported to Cobourg Police Service for additional breath tests.
 

As a result, the 63-year-old Colborne man was charged with facing Operation While impaired – over 80. The accused received a 90-day licence suspension, and the vehicle was impounded. The accused was released on an undertaking with a future court date.
