Dec. 11, 2024 – St. Catharines residents will experience temporary disruptions to some
online services over the next two weekends as the City upgrades its power system.
To complete the upgrades, two scheduled maintenance periods will result in temporary
disruptions to some online services:
• Sunday, Dec. 15 at 11 p.m. to Monday, Dec. 16 at 7 a.m.
• Sunday, Dec. 22 at 11 p.m. to Monday, Dec. 23 at 7 a.m.
The City has scheduled these maintenance periods overnight on weekends to minimize
the impact on residents, businesses and City operations. During these times, several
online services will be unavailable including the E-Billing and Building Portals, which
support inquiries and bill payments, building permit applications, and related inquiries.
Residents will also be unable to submit marriage licence applications. Additionally, there
will be temporary disruptions to network services, printing, and phone systems.
While this may cause minor inconvenience, these upgrades will provide long-term
benefits, helping enhance system reliability, improve efficiency, and strengthen the
City’s ability to maintain uninterrupted services during critical times.
