NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE – There is no better way to ring in the New Year than with friends and neighbours, refreshments, a roaring fire, and a cannon firing!
The Friends of Fort George and Parks Canada cordially invite you to the annual New Year’s Day Levee at Navy Hall! Join us at Navy Hall on January 1, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. as we ring in the New Year. This community celebration carries on an old tradition of citizens gathering together to pledge allegiance to our Sovereign, to renew old acquaintances and raise a toast to the continued prosperity of our nation.
Light refreshments will be offered to all in attendance, with official toasts at 3:30 p.m. This will be followed by the firing of a cannon.
This year’s honourary cannoneer is Mr. Dick Coyne, who won the live auction at the Beefsteak Society Dinner in November! Mr. Coyne has been an invaluable part of the Friends of Fort George for over 10 years, as both a volunteer, and board member. His continuous dedication and support of the Friends of Fort George ensures that we can continue to support Parks Canada in preserving, protecting, and presenting Niagara’s National Historic Sites.
