 
Start 2025 with the annual New Year’s Day Levee
Everyone is invited to to celebrate the start of the new year by attending the annual New Year’s Day Levee, a time-honoured tradition that brings the community together in a festive and welcoming atmosphere.
The Levee will take place on Wednesday, January 1. 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the historic Lake Street Armoury, located at 81 Lake Street. Co-hosted by the Lincoln and Welland Regiment and the 10th Battery, 56th Field Regiment, RCA, the event is an opportunity to connect with local history and strengthen community ties.
This event provides residents with a chance to meet Mayor Mat Siscoe, members of City Council, and other civic leaders. It’s also an opportunity to reflect on the accomplishments of the past year while looking ahead to the opportunities of 2025. Guests will be treated to light refreshments in a welcoming atmosphere, making it a perfect way to start the year.
The Lake Street Armoury, a cherished landmark in St. Catharines, offers a fitting venue for the Levee. With its deep historical significance and enduring ties to the local military community, the Armoury embodies the values of resilience and unity that the event seeks to celebrate.
The New Year’s Day Levee is free to attend, and no registration is required. Residents of all ages are encouraged to join in this annual tradition, whether they have lived in St. Catharines for years or are new to the community.
