The VOS Theatre group announced today the full cast of Mary Poppins: The Musical with Kieva Earle playing the role of the magical nanny, and Mark Johnston as Bert. Full cast details follow. Mary Poppins: The Musical, is based on the children's books by P. L. Travers and the 1964 Disney film with music and lyrics by Richard M. and Robert B. Sherman. Set in 1900’s London, the story follows the Banks family, who are looking for a new nanny for Jane and Michael. The magical Mary Poppins flies in on the wind and brings with her a combination of whimsey and common sense to the job. With the help of a ‘jack of all trades’ named Bert, Mary takes the children on magical adventures all the while imparting life lessons that begin to transform the dysfunctional family and help them to realize that anything can happen, if you let it.
